Help Hub Design

Roles: Content Designer, Team Lead, UX Designer

With our first University of Manitoba Libraries website redesign came an entirely new kind of content, the idea of a help hub – user group tailored collections of help videos and text, all located in one easily accessible area.

I pitched this idea, developed the content guidelines and specifications, and led and trained a team of public service librarians and staff to create and edit help videos. I also delved into some user experience research to see how things were going once it was done.

As we move into our 2020/2021 redesign, the Libraries has hired a teaching and learning coordinator, who has taken the lead on the redesign of this content using the insights gathered from our help hub experience.

For now, you can access one of our former help hubs here.
