Every user experience project starts with a question. Well, usually a lot of questions, but the work itself begins with this:
     What do we need?
Different methods will suit different needs, and the way you choose to implement a method will change depending on why you need what you need. Knowing what you need to know, and why you need to know it, is an integral first step in making a research plan. Knowing what you need to improve and why you need to improve it ensures you are actually solving the problem with your new service or interface design.
